The app PatternMatch was built by sewists to help others find indie sewing patterns through AI visual search and intelligent filtering. The team was passionate and excited, but losing motivation with every hour spent manually tagging patterns, wasting time they wanted to spend on marketing, outreach and building.
We designed and built a structured data model for patterns, designers, and attributes, alongside automated AI tagging workflows - using Notion and Make automations - that classify and enrich thousands of patterns at scale, removing the need for manual tagging and reducing ongoing operational overhead. Plus, the team now gets to return to the parts of building a start-up they love.
